The “2nd International Conference on Sustainable Solutions in Engineering, Science, Health, Education, and Technology (ICSS-ESHT 2026)” aims to address pressing global sustainability challenges and emerging issues through innovative, multidisciplinary, and collaborative approaches. The conference provides a premier platform for researchers, educators, faculty extensionists, practitioners, policymakers, industry experts, and specialists from diverse disciplines to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and foster partnerships that integrate scientific research, extension initiatives, engineering innovations, healthcare advancements, educational development, and technological progress.

The conference centers on key themes encompassing sustainable engineering practices, the transformative role of technology in environmental preservation, applications that enhance human well-being, the promotion of justice and human rights, and the contributions of the arts, architecture, and education toward sustainable development. These themes drive innovations that seamlessly integrate individual health, scientific advancement, social progress, community empowerment, and educational excellence—benefiting societies at local, national, and global levels. Through research and extension endeavors, participants will contribute practical and sustainable solutions that strengthen environmental resilience, improve quality of life, and promote inclusive development. The conference further serves as a venue for establishing national and international collaborations among academia, industry, government agencies, non-government organizations, healthcare institutions, and community development partners.

Furthermore, participants will have the opportunity to engage in scholarly presentations, panel discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions that explore innovative solutions to global challenges such as climate change, public health concerns, sustainable resource management, renewable energy, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, educational innovation, community extension programs, and green technologies. The conference will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing presenters and participants to attend and present either on-site or virtually, thereby promoting wider international participation, accessibility, and collaboration among stakeholders across different geographical locations.

All submitted papers will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process and will be evaluated based on originality, technical quality, research and extension content, accuracy, relevance to the conference themes, and overall readability. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and selected papers will be considered for publication in the LINKER Journal of Isabela State University, subject to the journal's review and publication requirements.

About Us

Historical Background

Established through Presidential Decree 1434 on June 10, 1978, Isabela State University (ISU) was formed by merging three original campuses: Ilagan, Cabagan, and Echague. Today, the university has expanded to eleven campuses across various municipalities in Isabela.

The Ilagan Campus, situated approximately 400 kilometers north of Manila in Barangay Calamagui 2nd along the Maharlika Highway, spans 2.11 hectares, providing accessible land transport. Primarily serving the economically disadvantaged youth of Isabela, the campus offers various scholarship programs supported by both the university and benevolent local sponsors.

The campus is committed to providing excellent education through the university's four thrusts: instruction, research, extension, and production, aiming to produce globally competitive graduates.

The University shall provide advance instruction in the arts, agriculture and natural sciences as well as in the technological and professional fields. This mandate is in accordance to Presidential Decree Nos. 1434 and 1437, issued on June 10, 1978 by then President Ferdinand Marcos, establishing Isabela State University.

By 2030, ISU as a model SMART-Green University internationally recognized for positive societal transformation.
